Oh, cardio.

You either love it, or hate it, but either way sometimes you need to change up your routine! We have rounded up some cardio routines to keep you focused in the gym and see results fast!

The best cardio for burning off extra calories will have you in the gym shorter than you'd expect – win/win for everyone. This cardio routine is called High Intensity Interval Training. HIIT can be performed on many different exercise machines, as well as outside or on the track.

As a beginner start with 30 seconds at a moderate pace and after 30 seconds go as hard as you can for 30 seconds. Then repeat. If performing on an exercise machine other than the treadmill, make sure to rev up the intensity level so that it is challenging for you.

Complete a total of 5-8 intervals your first time. These can be done with any kind of cardio routine! Try HIIT intervals on the treadmill or elliptical. Not feeling like hitting the gym? You can do your own killer HIIT intervals outdoors at your favorite park. Try intervals of burpees and pushups (switch off between the two for the routine) or sprints and lateral jumps – anything that gets your heart pumping!

Cardio is a great way to jump-start your weight loss and a great way to keep you in shape – so don’t give up on it just yet!

Another great way to keep going with the cardio? Have a great playlist ready to get you through the workout!
