This particular "mat" class consists of a series of non-impact, yet challenging movements that increase strength and flexibility, improves alignment, balance coordination and tone. Focus is on deep core strength and stabilization with balanced muscle use and uniformity of the entire body.
The "CORE" (abdomen, lower back and buttocks) is strengthened, enabling the rest of the body to move freely. The class moves the body through rotation, lateral flexion, extension, and for-ward flexion. The program is designed to meet the needs of both the novice and the advanced exerciser.
Mats are provided, but you are welcome to bring yours.
