Q. What type of franchise is available? A. THRIVE COMMUNITY FITNESS offers you the opportunity to operate a fully equipped, fitness center offering cardiovascular and circuit training equipment, free weights, group exercise classes, personal training, tanning facilities, nutritional products, smoothie bars, retail clothing and child care services. Q. How much does the franchise cost? A. The estimated initial investment to establish a THRIVE COMMUNITY FITNESS center ranges from $140,000 to $750,000 with a minimum net worth of $1,000,000. This includes the initial franchise fee is $35,000.
A. The continuing services, or "royalty fee," is 4% of your gross sales and is paid weekly. This fee entitles you to use the THRIVE COMMUNITY FITNESS service mark, use of distinctive system, marketing assistance, ongoing business development and counseling, and other benefits that come with being a THRIVE COMMUNITY FITNESS franchise.
A. THRIVE COMMUNITY FITNESS grants you an exclusive territory (called an "area of primary responsibility") with an approximate population of 15,000 people. We will not establish other franchised or company-owned centers that may compete with you for clients in your area. We may establish alternate channels of distribution selling similar services and products. This activity may compete with your franchised center. You may not directly market to or solicit clients outside of your area of primary responsibility.
A. The THRIVE COMMUNITY FITNESS name and reputation is an important part of our business. You will spend a minimum of $15,000 on grand-opening advertising during the first three months of operations. You will also spend at least 3% of your gross sales per month on local advertising for the first year. In addition, you will be expected to make Marketing Fund contributions of up to 2% of your weekly gross sales.
A. You will participate in an initial training course of approximately 7 weeks. The initial program will focus on all aspects of the THRIVE COMMUNITY FITNESS franchise system and is comprised of classroom and on-the-job training. This training is in addition to the on-site opening assistance we provide you.
A. The initial term of the Franchise Agreement is five years from the date the Franchise Agreement is signed. The franchise is renewable for three additional terms of five years each, providing you have complied with the provisions of the Franchise Agreement.
